birthday
the carrot cake was delicious.
soft and fluffy, with a thin
layer of icing,
a hint of cinnamon, and
just the right amount of sugar.
perfection.
I ate it every day for the next week
savoring the sweetness
until that fateful day
when all that was left
were a few
crumbs
